I was referred by another consultant to Mr Jalil on the basis that he had great experience in resolving a problem that had developed at the back of my left eye which was affecting my vision, being a distorted thickening membrane (Epiretinal membrane with marked macular oedema). I do not live in the UK but within a week Mr Jalil’s very efficient secretary, Saima, had arranged a video call with Mr Jalil who, with the benefit of scans supplied by internet, explained very clearly the problem, what he could do to alleviate it, the prognosis and risks involved. Everything was arranged so efficiently -when I arrived in the UK I had further tests, a second consultation followed a few days later by the operation.
