Corneal Diseases

At Cheshire Eye Clinic the corneal specialists are Mr Arun Brahma & Mr Tim de Klerk. They would assess your symptoms and possibly run some tests to help diagnose your condition.

Symptoms of corneal disease can include:

  • Eye redness
  • Eye pain
  • Excess tears or other discharge from your eye
  • Difficulty opening your eyelid because of pain or irritation
  • Blurred vision
  • Decreased vision
  • Sensitivity to light (photophobia)
  • A feeling that something is in your eye

These symptoms do not necessarily mean that you have a corneal disease however they should be investigated by a specialist. Corneal diseases include; Keratitis, Fuchs Endothelial Dystrophy and Keratoconus.
